What to organise before leaving Mallorca

Access, providers and upcoming checks: what to agree before you leave.

Leave a contact plan

Identify who may decide if you cannot be reached, which communication channel to use and what requires approval. Share access instructions only with authorised people through the agreed channels.

Check the provider calendar

Confirm upcoming cleaning, garden, pool and technical maintenance visits. Each provider should know how to access the home, what work is expected and whom to contact about an issue. Check any servicing due while you are away.

Agree settings for home systems

Air conditioning, water, irrigation and other systems need property-specific instructions. Ask your installers what settings are appropriate during your absence. Do not switch equipment off without checking whether other systems depend on it.

Plan follow-up visits

Agree which areas to check, how often and what to prioritise. Keep a record of existing issues so they can be distinguished from anything new.

Prepare for your return

Give notice of your arrival within the agreed timeframe so cleaning, checks and preparations can be coordinated. Before travelling, ask for a summary of anything outstanding that could affect your stay.
